An Easter Play:
The Real Importance of Easter
by Deven Pitcher
[Curtain opens on a parent and a child, anytime and anywhere.]
Child: Is Easter real?
Parent: No.
Child: Thank you for not lying to me, I now have a reason to respect you.
Parent: Thanks are not necessary you are a human being and deserve the truth, I am acting only according to a basic responsibility everyone has to the human race.
Child: I see. In that case, my praise is shown through my love, in that the respect and admiration I have for you are displayed via my love for you as a parent.
Parent: In such a case, I love you too.
[Parent and Child embrace]
[Scene Closes, Curtain Drop, End]
